Now that you have watched your video what do you think?
You liked it all and you don't have any questions you say ??
Pshhh I don't believe you!
But I do realize that sometimes it's hard to know what to look for!
Try to think about all the different parts that make up the dance while you watch
- The choreography, performers, costumes, music, lighting, props.....
They all come together to create the experience of viewing a dance.
Use the columns on the worksheet to write at least 2 - 3 things you liked about the dance and another 1-2 things (minimum)
you either did not like, think could be improved or that could be changed for the better.
Keep it simple at this point, even single words such as 'jumps', 'beginning', 'song' placed in one or the other column will help jog your memory later.
I know that it can be difficult to watch great dancers and find faults; but remember, technical performance is not the only thing you are looking at so don't be afraid to say you don't like the music or that you think the dancers needed to smile more!
Did any questions come up while you were watching?? Don't forget to jot those down too!
